Well, I'm back from an almost 3 week vacation, and while we had a lot of fun visiting with our granddaughters and our daughter and son-in-law, I'm afraid my "eating program" and exercise program was not as good as I had hoped it would be. Although, I stepped on the scale and had only gained 1 lb.! I think that pretty remarkable that I didn't gain more! But, onward and upward and I'm getting back in the saddle! Met with Beth, my trainer, today, and I think I was in better shape than her today, considering she took quite a tumble on her bike ride on Saturday. She still made me work it though! She's great! I'm really liking being in this 100 day heart challenge. Jessica is a great instructor for our nutrition class, my trainer is so knowledgeable and nice. And it's nice getting to know all you ladies in this challenge. Hope all of you have a fantastic week!

Hi from Ohio! We've been on vacation for a little over a week now, and I'm not doing very well with my exercise routine! The humidity is so high here, that you take a shower, and then feel like you need to hop in again, because your sweating so much! So, exercising really makes me sweat! (Which is probably a good thing in losing weight!) Anyway, too many excuses - I'll be glad to get back to my routine at the wellness center. Eating is another thing when you're on vacation! All the fun things to eat that we can't get out west - sub sandwiches, good pizza, etc. etc. But I'm trying to be good, It's just so hard! Hope everyone is doing great on their weight loss program! See you all soon, Marilyn

Whew! Met with Beth my trainer, and had a good workout! I feel like this is already making my heart stronger and doing alot of good. It's only been not even a week since I started working out.
I feel like I'm making better choices on my eating, but I'm still tempted by the sweet things. I just need to get my "sweet tooth" pulled, and maybe I won't have these cravings. I have gotten better though, so that's a plus. Any suggestions from my team mates will be helpful. What do you do when you're craving the sweet things?

Well, It's been a week now since I started this 100 day heart challenge, and I must say that I'm pretty much out of shape! We had a great start on Monday, June 1st, with getting measursed and tested. And then we got the results back from blood work and body fat and boy was that another eye opener! We had a nice healthy breakfast and the program was explained to us. We met with our nutrionist on Weds. and it was a great class! I'm writing down what I eat, but sometimes it's really hard to remember to do it. I think it will become a habit, if I just keep it up! Thurs. I met with Traci and my trainer, Beth. That's when I knew I was really out of shape. They set me up a program that I can do ( I have a couple of problems that makes exercise not real easy for me - Osteoarthris, and neuropathy in my feet) So far I'm able to do what they've set up for me - I's not easy, but I'm doing it! I did go this week-end and get me a Good pair of workout shoes, and I think that will help, especially walking on the treadmill. I want to make the best of this opportunity to have people helping me along with way of getting my heart in better shape! Thanks to all of you!
